Description

The Grove, located on Hadley Green Road in Monken Hadley, is a building dating from around 1800, although it has been significantly altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of yellow brick and features a green slate roof. The house has two storeys and five bays, although the left-hand bays are now hidden by a modern block that matches the materials and style of the original structure. The building includes sash windows with glazing bars and has double doors that are central to the original block. Despite the alterations, enough of the original house remains to justify its listing, and it holds important group value within the village centre.
