Description
These are artisans' cottages, built in 1909 as part of the Hampstead Garden Suburb. Designed by George Hubbard and Albert Walter Moore, they were constructed for the Improved Industrial Dwellings Company. The cottages are characterized by painted rendering on the upper walls, a brick plinth, and a high hipped roof covered in tiles. The roof has swept eaves and exposed rafter ends along the gutter fascia. They are two storeys high and feature a six-window arrangement, displaying a bilaterally symmetrical design around a central party wall. The architectural style is Vernacular Revival, and the cottages are a variation of the rectangular-block type found in similar properties along Willifield Way. They are identical in design to numbers 110-116 and are part of a larger group comprising numbers 70-124, even.
