Description
A pair of houses on St John's Wood Road, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of brown brick with a stucco ground floor and decorative stucco dressings. They are three storeys high with a basement, and originally comprised four bays, although the bay to the right has been replaced with a 20th-century building. A recessed two-storey entrance bay is located to the left (No. 16), with steps leading to a round-arched entrance featuring a fanlight. The windows are sash windows, mostly with glazing bars, and sit beneath flat, gauged brick arches. Iron balconies are present on the first floor. A cornice runs along the top of the building, and a railed basement is also present.
