Description
A row of four houses, numbered 26 to 30, located on the north-west side of Buckingham Palace Road, dating to approximately 1830. The buildings are constructed of stucco, with roofs largely obscured, except for a tall leaded mansard roof to number 26. The houses are four storeys high, each two windows wide, with shops occupying the ground floor. Number 28 retains a complete 19th-century shopfront made of cast iron, while the others have been replaced in the 20th century. Iron balconies are present on the first floor. The windows are square-headed, with architraves emphasizing those on the first floor. They are sash windows, some with glazing bars. A dentil cornice runs above the fourth floor. The building returns to the right into Victoria Square. The properties are included on the list primarily for their contribution to the group value alongside numbers 16 to 24 and Victoria Square.
