Description
No. 9 Gerrard Street is a terrace house built around 1758-1759 and altered in the early 19th century. It is constructed of stuccoed brick with a slate roof and features three storeys and a dormered mansard. The building is four windows wide and has centrally placed coupled porches, although one has been converted into a window. The front is flanked by quoin pilasters and topped with a balustraded parapet. Inside, there is a fine cut and moulded string open well staircase with turned balusters and column newels, along with cornices and elements of panelling. Historically, the premises were occupied by the Westminster Dispensary, which was established in 1774.
