Description
No. 7 New Quebec Street is a terraced house built around 1790-1800 as part of the Portman Estate development, which also includes Great Cumberland Place and Seymour Street. The building is constructed of stock brick with a plain stuccoed ground floor and features a slate roof. It stands four storeys tall, with a basement and a dormered mansard roof. The façade is three windows wide, and there is a semicircular arched doorway on the right, which has a panelled door and a fanlight above it. The upper floors have recessed sash windows set under flat gauged red brick arches. A plat band marks the top of the ground floor stuccowork, and the building is topped with a crowning stucco cornice and blocking course. Additionally, there are cast iron area railings with urn finials. This building is included in the register for its group value.
