Description
No. 4 New Quebec Street is a terraced house built around 1790-1800 as part of the Portman Estate development, which followed the construction of Great Cumberland Place and Seymour Street. The building is made of stock brick with a channelled stucco ground floor and has a concealed slate roof. It stands four storeys tall with a basement and is two windows wide. To the right, there is a semicircular arched doorway featuring a panelled door and a fanlight. The upper floors have recessed sash windows set under red brick flat arches. The ground floor is adorned with stuccowork finished with a plat band. The building has a parapet with coping and is surrounded by cast iron area railings topped with urn finials.
