Description

A row of five houses at 3-7 Beeston Place, dating to around 1840. The houses are built of stucco, with a concealed roof. They stand four storeys high, each house originally featuring two windows. The ground floor incorporates shop fronts, likely originally with pilastered surrounds and dentil cornices, with a 20th-century shop front replacing the original at No. 5. The windows have architraves. The first-floor windows have cornices, and the building is finished with balustraded parapets. An entrance to No. 7 is located on the right-hand return, leading into Victoria Square. The houses are listed for their group value in the context of Victoria Square.
