Description

This is an incomplete terrace of houses located on the north side of Chester Square, dating from the mid-19th century. The buildings are constructed of stucco, with the roofs being largely hidden. Each house stands four storeys high and is two windows wide. Projecting Doric porches provide access to panelled doors. The ground floor windows are tripartite, featuring colonettes between the panes. A bombé balcony is present on the first floor. The windows are square-headed and architraved, except for those on the third floor. Consoled cornices are found on the first floor, facing towards the consoles, and small balconettes are located on the second floor. The windows are sash style, with the first-floor casements largely featuring plate glass. Original cast iron area railings are also present.
