Description

The boundary walls enclosing the grounds of Buckingham Palace date from the 18th century and early to mid 19th century, with some rebuilding in the mid 20th century at Hyde Park Corner. They are constructed of dark red brick and stock brick, featuring wrought iron chevaux-de-frise. The walls have weathered coping, and the earlier red brick sections are associated with Buckingham House.
