Description

TQ 2880 NW CITY OF WESTMINSTER PARK LANE, Wl 68/58 (east side) 24.2.58 No. 97 G.V. II Terraced town house. Rebuild of 1826-27 with alterations in the 1890s Stuccoed with slate roof. 5 storeys and basement. Fully canted front 3 windows wide with centre slightly advanced. Channelled ground and 1st floors with central entrance, the door in plain stucco frame with ornate cast iron window guard to window above. Upper floors have casement windows in architrave surrounds. Sill bands and plat bands with main entablature over 3rd floor and crowning cornice and blocking course with cast iron guard rail. Cast iron verandah balcony to 2nd floor with trellised and fretted spandrels to supports of tent roof. Spear head area railings with pine-cone finials. Interior refurbished c. 1900 with enlarged entrance hall and staircase to rear, panelling etc. Survey of London; Vol. XL.
