Description
No. 95 Park Lane is a terraced town house rebuilt between 1842 and 1844 by John Harrison. It is constructed of stock brick with a stucco ground floor and features a slate roof. The building stands six storeys tall, including a basement, and has a front that is designed as a canted bay with three windows extending the full height.
The entrance is set back to the right and includes a six-panel door with a plain fanlight, framed by pilasters. The ground floor has rusticated stuccowork with incised voussoirs above the flat arches of the sash windows. The upper floors feature recessed glazing bar sashes on French casements beneath flat gauged arches.
A deep, moulded stucco entablature is located over the third floor, with a stucco string course above the fourth floor, and a crowning cornice and parapet topped with a delicate iron railing. Notable features include an ornate cast iron tent roof verandah balcony on the second floor, stucco pierced work balconettes on the first floor, and geometric cast iron window guards on the third floor. The area is enclosed by spear head railings with palmette-lotus pommel finials.
