Description

This is a row of houses located on St Ann’s Terrace in Westminster, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of brick and stucco, with the roof being largely hidden from view. The row stands three storeys high with a basement. Each house is two windows wide, with the centrally located pair of houses projecting slightly. The ground floor has rustication. The entrances are square-headed, with panelled doors. The central pair of houses feature paired, slightly projecting porches with Doric pilasters and triglyph friezes. The windows are square-headed, with architraves on the first floor and cornices on the central house; the windows on the second floor have gauged heads. Most windows are sash windows with glazing bars. Balconies with an anthemion pattern are present on the first floor of all but numbers 22 and 24. The building has a simplified cornice and blocking course.
