Description
No. 25 Litchfield Street is a terrace house built around 1685, which was refaced in the mid to late 18th century and altered in the 19th century at the ground floor. The building is constructed of multi-coloured stock brick with a stuccoed ground floor and has a concealed roof. It stands four storeys high and is three windows wide. The ground floor features a doorway on the right with an architrave and pediment, a panelled door, and a patterned fanlight, along with a later 19th-century display window that includes a fascia. The upper floors have recessed glazing bar sash windows set under flat gauged arches. A stucco string course runs above the ground floor, and there is a parapet with stone coping. Inside, the house retains several original late 17th-century features, including a dog leg closed string staircase with turned balusters and panelling with box cornices.
