Description
No. 24 West Street is a building that dates back to around 1700 and was originally built as St Giles (All Saints) Mission Church. It was constructed by J Ardowin, and its facade was rebuilt in the early 19th century. The structure is made of yellow stock brick and stucco, featuring a rectangular plan with two storeys and three bays. Both floors have round-headed, recessed windows, which are fitted with modern glazing and have stucco panels below them. There are two entrances located below the windows at each end, each framed by stucco architraves and cornices. A stucco cornice runs beneath the brick parapet. The interior has not been inspected. Historically, the building is associated with John Wesley from 1743 onwards.
