Description

The former Welsh Presbyterian Church, built in 1888 by James Cubitt, is located on Charing Cross Road in the City of Westminster. This church is constructed of white brick, possibly from Suffolk, and features stone dressings and slate roofs. It is designed in a Free Norman style with a centralised plan and a prominent dome that is expressed externally as an octagon. The building has Norman shafted doorways in the lower central bays, which are flanked by taller twin gabled bays that contain tiers of Romanesque windows. The interior was altered in 1984 for office use, but the space beneath the dome has been retained as an atrium.
