Description

A pair of semi-detached houses located at 11 and 12 Blenheim Road, dating to approximately 1840, with alterations to number 12 made in the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco with slate roofs behind a parapet. They are two storeys high with a basement, and each house has a facade of three windows. The entrances are located in the second bays. Number 11 features an advanced Doric porch with a panelled door framed by pilaster strips. The windows have architraves and cornices to the ground floor, and are tripartite in the innermost bay. The upper storey windows contain plate glass with some leaded lights. Number 12 is similar in appearance, but has later Gothic detailing, including a crenellated parapet that rises to form a tower in the left-hand bay. The houses form part of an unusually complete sequence of similar buildings.
