Description
No. 89 Duke Street is a house that was formerly the rear wing of No. 9 Grosvenor Square. It was built after 1866, likely between 1877 and 1878 for the seventh Earl Cowper, and is designed in a style similar to the earlier No. 9 Grosvenor Square. The building features stock brick with a channelled stucco ground floor and a slate roof. It has two and three storeys, along with a basement, and is two windows wide. The doorway is located to the left and is flat under brick arches on the first floor. There is a parapet with coping and cast iron area railings. The first floor music room is part of No. 9 Grosvenor Square, while the upper storey is numbered as part of No. 87, which is not included in the listing.
