Description
Nos 1 to 5 Sussex Place is a terrace of houses built in the early to mid-19th century. The buildings are constructed of brown brick in Flemish bond with a reddened finish. The ground floor features channelled stucco, and there are stucco dressings throughout. The terrace consists of four storeys and a basement, with each house having two bays, except for No 5, which has three bays and includes a mews arch. The entrances are pilastered and topped with hoods. The windows are primarily sashes, with iron balconies on the first floor. There are casements or sashes with hoods on the lower floors, and above, sashes with glazing bars are set within architraves. The central window of No 5 is blind, and there are iron railings surrounding the basement.
