Description

This is a pair of houses located at 60 and 62 Maida Vale, dating from 1828 and subsequently altered. The houses are constructed of yellow brick with stucco to the basement, and have a slate roof. They are two storeys high plus a basement, with three windows across the front, the central bays of each house projecting slightly. The entrances are centrally located on each house, accessed by steps, and feature square-headed door surrounds with pilasters and early 19th century trellis porches with tented roofs. The doors are panelled, and the windows are square-headed with plate glass. A cast iron balcony is positioned in front of the central windows of the pair, and window guards are present on the outer windows. A stone cornice is topped with brick modillions, and a central pediment is above. The roof is hipped. Surviving interior features remain.
