Description
The Presbytery of St Mary of the Angels Roman Catholic Church is a presbytery built around 1870, designed by S J Nicholl. It features brown brick with stone dressings and a slate pitched roof, showcasing an irregular composition in a muscular Gothic style. The building has five storeys and four bays, with a prominent first storey that includes two-light pointed windows. The other windows have unmoulded and cuspless "Caernarvon" arches. The entrance is located to the right and is topped by a polygonal turret with a conical roof and a finial. There are two gables above paired windows, each containing three graduated lancets, and a massive stack rises between the gables.
