Description
These lamp posts, located on both sides of Constitution Hill in the City of Westminster, date from the early to mid 19th century. They are made of cast iron and feature reeded battered bases with octagonal shafts. Some of the lamps are monogrammed with GIV and WIV, while others display Queen Victoria's monogram. This group of lamp posts is significant as it is an important early collection, alongside similar examples found in Green Park, St. James's Park, and Birdcage Walk.
