Description
No. 2 Hinde Street is a terraced town house built around 1790 as part of the Portman Estate development. The building is constructed of stock brick, with the ground floor stuccoed up to the first floor sill band, and features a slate roof. It stands three tall storeys high with a dormered mansard roof and a basement. The façade is three windows wide, with a doorway to the left. The ground floor windows and the doorway are all semicircular arched, featuring a panelled door and a fanlight. The upper floors have recessed sash windows with intact glazing bars, set under flat gauged arches. The building is topped with a plain parapet that has coping, and it is enclosed by cast iron area railings with urn finials.
