Description
Nos 3 to 5 Lancaster Terrace are a row of terraced houses built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed of stucco and feature four storeys, an attic, and a basement. Each house has three windows across the front, except for No 5, which has four windows, including a convex full-height bow window on the left side and a canted return on the right. The ground floor has channelling, and there are projecting Doric porches at the entrance. The windows on the first and second floors are square-headed and have architraves, with cornicing above the first floor. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, and there is a French casement on the first floor that opens onto a continuous bombé balcony. Above the third floor, there is a console cornice, and a subsidiary cornice is present at the attic level. The building is topped with a parapet and has cast iron area railings.
