Description
The Pavilion of the Fountains is a mid-19th century structure located in Kensington Gardens, City of Westminster. It is built from Portland stone and features a pantiled roof in the Italianate style. The pavilion has a square plan and is a single storey with three bays. The front is characterized by open arches, with decorative carving on the capitals and spandrels. The building has channelled quoins and a console cornice at the eaves. At the center of the roof, there is a square tower that is panelled and pilastered, topped with cast iron cresting. Urns flank the central entrance, and the pavilion serves as the focal point of The Fountains layout.
