Description

Flemings Hotel is a group of terrace houses built around 1730, though they have been significantly altered for use as a hotel. The exterior is cement rendered with a slate roof, and the building stands four storeys tall with basements and dormered mansards. Many doorways have been changed or converted into windows in the early to mid 20th century.

No. 39 features three windows without glazing bars on the sashes and has a parapet with coping. No. 40 is four windows wide and flanked by giant pilasters, also lacking glazing bars on the sashes; it has a deep moulded cornice that breaks over the giant order at the second floor. No. 41 mirrors No. 39 with three windows and no glazing bars, while No. 42 is similar in style.
