Description
St Anselm's Convent School is a late 18th century building that incorporates earlier remains and has undergone later alterations. It stands three stories tall and features a five-bay center flanked by single bay projecting wings. The exterior is constructed of amber brick, topped with a slate roof behind a parapet. The center block has gauged flat arches over the recessed windows, except for the ground floor windows, which are semi-circular. The wings display Venetian windows on the ground and first floors, with lunettes on the second floor. The entrance is framed by a door surround with Doric columns that support a broken pediment. At the rear, the building has a five-window wide center with bay windows on either side. The interior is notable for including features from the 16th century.
