Description
Brandlehow School is a primary school built in 1950 by architect Erno Goldfinger. The building features a pre-cast reinforced concrete frame with red brick infill and is single-storeyed, with a taller hall that has full glazing facing the playground. It has a shallow mono-pitched roof and is roughly in an 'L' shape, with the assembly hall located on the west side facing the playground and classrooms on the north side facing south. A large brick tower is situated by the entrance. This school is notable as one of only two schools constructed using Goldfinger's own school building system.
