Description
Nos 61 and 63 on Stepney Green, built in the 18th century, feature a yellow brick facade with a stone cornice beneath a coped parapet. The end of No 63 has been rebuilt to match the original design, likely when Nos 65 to 69 were demolished. The building has three storeys and a basement, with three windows, each topped with red gauged flat arches. The doorcases are adorned with fluted Corinthian pilasters, although the pilasters on No 61 are damaged, and there is a modillion and dentil cornice above. Nos 61 and 63 are part of a group with the listed buildings of Stepney Jewish Primary and Infants School.
