Description
The Mile End and Bow District Synagogue is an early 19th-century building located on Harley Grove in E3. It features a stuccoed facade adorned with a cornice, blocking course, and a central pediment. The frieze displays the synagogue's name in black lettering. The facade is enhanced by rusticated quoins, with the pediment supported by two plain pilasters on the outer sides and two Ionic columns in the center. Behind these columns are large double doors framed by an architrave, with a panel above. The side doors are complemented by elaborate cast iron brackets. Additionally, the side windows are set in arched recesses, each with an architrave and a panel positioned between the ground and first floors.
