Description

EAST INDIA DOCK ROAD E14 1. 4431 (North side) No 133 (Dept of Health and Social Security) TQ 3780 25/680 TQ 3781 18/680 II GV 2. Circa 1840. Stucco facade, roof not visible. 2 storeys and basement, 17 bays. Lower windows with round arches, some blind. Recessed central 5 bays include panelled door. Flanking pavilion and wing on each side. Originally built as a seamen's home by Richard Green.

No 133 and its piers form part of a group with Pope John House, the piers and walls to Poplar Recreation Ground and the Memorial in the Recreation Ground opposite.
