Description
The Lodge at Crown Gate West is a mid-19th century building located in Victoria Park, E3. It is constructed of red brick featuring geometric designs, with stucco dressings and a tiled roof. The building has coped gables adorned with finials and kneelers. It stands two storeys high and has two bays on the ground floor, which include mullions and a transom, all topped with relieving arches. While some modern glazing has been added, some leaded glazing remains. The lodge features a gabled central porch with a Tudor arch. It is part of a group that includes the Royal Cricketers Public House, The Crown Hotel, The Victoria Veneer Mills Ltd, and several properties on Old Ford Road.
