Description
The Crown Hotel is a mid to late 19th-century building located on Old Ford Road. It is constructed of stock brick and features a stucco cornice, blocking course, and window dressings. The ground floor is rusticated, and the building stands three storeys high with four windows, two of which are recessed on the eastern side. The first-floor windows are pedimented. The hotel occupies an important corner position at the entrance to Victoria Park. It is part of a group that includes the Victoria Veneer Mills and Nos 236 to 256 (even), 274 to 302 (even), The Royal Cricketers Public House, and the Lodge at Crown Gate West, Victoria Park.
