Description
No. 113 on Mile End Road, built around 1715, is a three-storey brown brick building with red brick dressings and a basement. It features a parapet and a moulded brick string course at the second floor, with a plain band at the first floor. The building has three slightly recessed windows with segmental arches and sashes that do not have glazing bars. A flat cornice door hood supported by carved brackets, one of which is now hidden by an adjoining shop partition, is above an eight-panelled door. Wrought iron railings and steps complete the entrance. No. 113, along with the Drinking Fountain and Nos. 107 to 113 (odd), forms a group with the Anchor Brewery buildings.
