Description

The Black Horse Public House is an early to mid-19th century building located on Mile End Road. It is constructed from stock brick and features stucco quoins, an eaves cornice, and a blocking course. The building stands three storeys high and has three windows, all with stucco architraves. The windows are sashes, with the top floor windows including glazing bars. There is an iron guard above the first-floor windows, which are situated above a heavy cornice. The pub front is adorned with pilasters. Inside, the western lobby showcases a fine tiled mural depicting a brightly coloured scene featuring a black horse.
