Description
No 23 Prescot Street is an 18th-century building constructed of stock brick, featuring some patching. It has a coped parapet and a roof that is not visible. The building stands four storeys tall with a basement and includes a brick band course. The ground floor windows have architraves, and all windows are sash, except for those on the ground floor. The entrance boasts a fine doorcase with a pediment and engaged columns that have fluted capitals. The round-headed doorway is adorned with an architrave and impost bands, along with a decorative fanlight and a panelled door. Inside, there is an elliptical arch at the base of the staircase. Nos 23 to 25, No 30, and the Church of the English Martyrs form a group.
