Description
The Manor House, located at No 21 High Street, is an 18th-century building set back from the street by a forecourt. It has five storeys and features a panelled parapet. The structure is constructed of deep red brick, accented with lighter red brick. There is a slight central projection with a pediment, and the facade includes two sets of five sash windows with glazing bars, which are set in shallow reveals beneath flat arches. The round head of the central window on the second floor cuts into the tympanum of the pediment. The entrance features a central door with ten fielded panels, which is sheltered by a Doric porch. The Manor House is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 11 (odd), 15, 19, 21, an outbuilding east of No 21, 23, 23A, 25, 29, 33, 35A, 37, 37B, 41A, 41B, 41, 43, 45, and 53 to 63 (odd).
