Description

No. 19 High Street is a building likely dating to the 16th or 17th century, but with a 19th-century facade of chequered red and grey brickwork. The side elevation is stuccoed. The original timber framework remains visible beneath the carriageway on the left. The roof is tiled, hidden behind a parapet and cornice. The building is two storeys high and features a 19th-century shop front. The first floor has five sash windows with glazing bars, each with a painted lintel. It is part of a group of buildings including Nos. 1 to 11 (odd), 15, 21, an outbuilding east of No. 21, 23, 23A, 25, 29, 33, 35A, 37, 37B, 41A, 41B, 41, 43, 45, and Nos. 53 to 63 (odd).
