Description

This is a row of twelve cottages, numbers 1 to 13, located on the west side of Arbour Square in London, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The cottages are constructed of stock brick, with a parapet at the top. The ground floor has been stuccoed, with a band course marking the sill height of the first-floor windows. The roof is not visible.

The cottages are arranged over three storeys, with a basement level, and each has two windows. The top-floor windows are topped with gauged flat arches. The first-floor windows are set within large, shallow arched recesses, while the ground-floor windows are round-headed. The window reveals are painted, and some of the windows retain original glazing bars. The doorways are round-headed, with plain fanlights and curved stucco surrounds.

These cottages are historically considered as a group with numbers 3 to 19 on the east side of Arbour Street.
