Description

These are almshouses built around 1840, constructed of brick in Flemish bond with a slate roof. They form the center range of a U-shaped group, open to the east. The exterior features a tripartite design with two-storey wings on either side of a three-window central section. All openings have segmental pointed arches, with windows and overlights that include Gothick glazing bars. The central section has a high plain parapet, while the side wings have lower moulded parapets. There are five units, each with a central door and three windows; the window above each entrance has two lights, while the others have three. There are stacks located at the returns and party walls. The interior has not been inspected. This building forms a strong group with the North and South Ranges.
