Description

113 Wells Way is a house that began as St George's vicarage and has been converted into flats. The core structure dates from 1820, with substantial extensions made around 1840 and 1860, and further conversion in the 1980s. Around 1840, a central block was added, and the walls of the original section were raised and the whole building re-roofed. A north wing was then added in 1860. The building is constructed of stucco and has a low-pitched slate roof with bracketed eaves. It is arranged on an irregular plan, with a modern garage extension on the right. The windows are largely Gothic, added in 1860. The entrance to the central block is under a four-centred arch. Windows are in plain reveals, with some sash windows on the ground floor and a large, five-light window in the northern wing. Upper-floor windows are mostly two- and three-light casements. The interior has not been inspected.
