Description

Three houses, dating circa 1790, now used as linked offices. They are built of multi-coloured stock brick with red brick and stucco dressings. Each house has a stucco cornice and blocking course; the one at number 30 features paired modillions, while those at number 32 are regularly spaced.

Number 30 is three storeys and has a basement, with a symmetrical facade of five bays. It features a round-arched central entrance with a six-panelled door, reeded pilasters, and a decorative fanlight above a corniced head. The sash windows have replaced glazing bars and are set within cambered, gauged red brick arches. A first-floor stucco sill band is present. Number 32 is identical to number 30 and is linked to it by a four-bay extension. Number 34 is also three storeys and basement, with a three-bay facade extended to the left by a further one bay. The round-arched entrance features a stucco band at the arch's spring, running continuously into a break-front cornice head. It contains a six-panelled door flanked by attached, fluted Tuscan columns, and a decorative fanlight. The ground-floor sash windows are round-headed in round-arched recesses with a stucco band at the spring; the first and second-floor windows have flat, gauged red brick arches. There is a first-floor stucco sill band. The link with number 32 is in a similar style, consisting of a ground- and second-floor one-bay section with a tile-hung dormer above, extended further to the right in a three-storey, two-bay section.

The interiors of all three houses have been significantly altered.

Attached cast-iron area railings are also part of the historic group value. The hand rail at number 34 has an overthrow with a lamp-holder.
