Description
The cottage at the City of London Cemetery was built in 1855 by William Haywood. It is constructed from ragstone and features a red tiled roof. This two-storey cottage has a gabled design and consists of one bay, with a single-storey bay to the left. There is a pointed entrance arch to the left of the gabled section. The windows are square-headed stone mullions, with two lights on the upper floor and three lights below. The left-hand part of the cottage is tiled with fishscale bands. A tall chimney is located on the right-hand side. Behind the cottage, there is a further 'T plan' block made of brick, which is contemporary and joined by a wall. The cottage is situated to the north of the Non-conformist chapel and is included mainly for its group value with the chapels.
