Description
The Wedge is a mid-to-late 19th-century building, included on the heritage register because of its close relationship to other nearby properties. It is a four-storey structure with a single window and a shaped gabled top. The exterior is constructed of multicoloured stock brickwork. The sash windows have chamfered, gauged brick arches; the first-floor window has a segmental head, while the ground and first-floor windows are three-light designs. The ground floor is relatively low, appearing almost as a basement, and contains an entrance with a modern door and porch. The Wedge (specifically No 3A) forms part of a group with Nos 1 to 8A (consec) and associated forecourt walls.
