Description
No. 9 Eliot Vale is a building from 1805 that has undergone some alterations. It has two storeys and a sunk basement, featuring three irregularly placed windows. The exterior is made of multicoloured stock brick and includes a stone mutule cornice and blocking course with a tablet that reads "Eliot Vale, 1805." The roof is low pitched and slated, though it is concealed from view. The sash windows have gauged flat brick arches and glazing bars. The right bay has been altered, resulting in a very long upper window and a small round window on the ground floor. The doorway features a gauged brick round arch and a patterned fanlight above, topped with a wide cornice head. The door itself consists of six fancy panels and includes sidelights. There is a two-storey, one-window extension on the right side, along with a two-storey, two-window low wing at the far right, which is partly made of red brick and incorporates an older cottage.
