Description

Eliot Vale House and No. 50 Heath Lane is a house built in 1805, with alterations made subsequently. It is a three-storey, three-window building, with later additions. The house is constructed of multicoloured stock brick, with a fairly low-pitched, hipped slate roof. Recessed sash windows with glazing bars are set within stucco lined reveals, with gauged flat brick arches above. A wide stucco porch features four flat pilasters and wreaths in the frieze. Double doors are flanked by side lights, and a rectangular fanlight with mullions is above the door. A window on the first floor is set within a projecting stucco piece similar in style to the porch. A two-storey L-shaped extension sits to the left, with a blank ground floor. A projecting extension is to the right, containing a stable door. The building is now divided into three flats. The rear elevation includes a first-floor verandah with an iron balustrade and a hood supported by brackets, and a trellis porch below.
