Description
This is a group of three pairs of houses, numbered 123 to 133, located on Lee Park. They were built in the second quarter of the 19th century. Each house is two storeys high, with an attic and basement, and features a prominent, pedimented central block flanked by two-storey, single-window entrance bays that are slightly recessed. The exterior is stuccoed and features pilasters at the corners and paired pilasters that support a panelled frieze below the pediment. A continuous cill band runs along the first floor. The sash windows have glazing bars; those in the pediment are round-arched and have a blank arch between them. Console brackets support the cornices of the ground-floor windows. There are ten steps leading to porches, which have panelled pilasters and an entablature. The front doors are four-panelled, with side pilasters and rectangular fanlights containing glazing bars. Numbers 119 to 143, including these houses, form a cohesive group.
