Description
No 88 on Acre Lane is an early 19th-century building that was formerly part of a pair with No 86. It is a substantial structure with three storeys and a basement, featuring three windows. The building is constructed of stock brick, with the outer entrance bay slightly set back. It has a stone cornice, a blocking course, and a band of stone at the first-floor cill. The basement is stuccoed, and there are recessed panels below the ground floor windows. The sash windows have gauged brick arches, with the ground floor windows being round-headed and set in round-arched stuccoed panels. Access is provided by six steps leading to 6-panel doors, which are flanked by pilasters, topped with a cornice head and patterned fanlights.
