Description

24 and 26 Acre Lane is an early 19th-century pair of houses, each three storeys tall with a basement. They feature two windows in the main block and two-storey entrance links that are slightly set back. The buildings are constructed of stock brick and have a stuccoed cornice, parapet, and a cill band at the first floor. The basement is also stuccoed. The windows have gauged brick arches, with round arches on the ground floor set in round-arched recesses. The sash windows have lost bars. Access to the doors is via four stone steps with ornamental side rails. The doors themselves have fielded panels and raised borders, flanked by square quasi-Corinthian fluted pilasters topped with a cornice. Above the doors is a plain fanlight set under a round gauged brick arch, with an enriched round hood supported by console brackets.
