Description

Trinity Homes, also known as Bailey's Almhouses, is a block of almshouses dating to 1822, evidenced by a plaque below the frieze. The building is constructed of stock brick and extends to two storeys with nine windows, three of which project slightly and are topped by a pediment. A stone plinth and a stone first-floor cill band are present. The side parapets have been rebuilt in modern brick and feature tiled dripmoulding. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars, framed by moulded architraves; the central window has a cornice. The ground floor features sash windows within elliptical arched recesses, topped by flat gauged brick arches. Some arches on the left side have been rebuilt, and the glazing has been altered. The central entrance consists of an eight-panel door set within a moulded architrave, leading to a prostyle Doric porch with four stone steps. The rear elevation is also pedimented.
